Front Door Host

We are seeking a highly skilled Host/Hostess to join our team and assist in managing restaurant reservations and maximizing our capacity. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and time management skills, be a team player, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be familiar with the Open Table reservation system, have at least 2 years of host or customer service experience, and be comfortable dealing with stressful situations. The Host/Hostess should also have exceptional communication and customer engagement skills and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival and ensure they are seated promptly

• Organize reservations to maximize restaurant capacity while ensuring excellent customer service

• Maintain accurate records of reservations, waiting lists, and special requests

• Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, and promotions

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations

• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a host or in a customer service role

• Familiarity with the Open Table reservation system preferred

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong multitasking abilities

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings

• Comfortable with stressful situations

• Exceptional communication and customer engagement skills

Pay Range:

• Los Gatos, California ($16 to $20.5 per hour)

• Walnut Creek, California ($16 to $20.5 per hour)

• Palo Alto, California ($17.80 to $22.25 per hour)

• Los Angeles, California ($16.78 to $21.04 per hour)
