We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and assist the Head Chef in creating and executing exceptional dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and culinary creativity, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development
Oversee and train kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service
Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
Monitor and control inventory, labor, and other costs to maximize revenue and minimize waste
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff
Manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
Pay Range:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to manage inventory, labor, and other costs to maximize profitability
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
