Happy Hour FAQs

Everything you need to know.

Telefèric Barcelona's Happy Hour is a Spanish-style happy hour served Monday through Thursday, 3 PM to 6 PM (excluding holidays) at eight of our restaurants. It features special prices on a dedicated tapas & paella menu, $4 off signature cocktails, and $3 off wines by the glass, served at the bar and patio areas. It's a Barcelona tradition brought to the US by the Padrosa family, who opened the original Telefèric in Sant Cugat near Barcelona in 1992.
Happy Hour runs Monday through Thursday, 3 PM to 6 PM, excluding holidays. It is not available Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Eight US locations offer Happy Hour: Los Angeles (Brentwood), Long Beach (Pacific Coast Highway), Roseville (The Fountains), Newport Beach (Fashion Island), Walnut Creek (Downtown), Los Gatos (Old Town), and La Jolla (Westfield UTC, San Diego) in California, plus Scottsdale (Old Town, Arizona). The offer, hours, and menu are identical across all eight.
All signature cocktails are $4 off: Telefèric Sangría, Barceloneta Sangría, Gothic Mojito, La Flaca (mezcal + tequila), and The Tourist drop from $15–$16 to $11–$12. Wines by the glass are $3 off.
A dedicated tapas & paella menu at special prices: Ham Croquetas ($8), Patatas Bravas ($8), Bruselas ($8), Tuna Tacos ($12), Ahi Tuna Salad ($12), Chicken Kebab ($13), Jamón Ibérico de Bellota ($19) and Paella Mixta ($26).
Reservations are recommended but not required. Happy Hour is served at the bar and patio areas — book on OpenTable: instant confirmation, free cancellation, no prepayment. Walk-ins welcome subject to availability.
Yes. The full dinner menu is available during Happy Hour and after. Around half our Happy Hour guests stay for dinner — for seven varieties of paella, hand-carved Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, and the 200+ Spanish wine list selected by Catalonian sommeliers.
Yes. Happy Hour works for dates, after-work groups, birthdays, and group celebrations at the bar and patio areas. For parties of 8 or more, call the restaurant directly to check availability.
Three things. First, the menu is real Spanish cooking — ham croquetas, patatas bravas, jamón ibérico de bellota, even paella mixta — not generic discounted appetizers. Second, the sangría recipes are the original Padrosa family recipes from the 1992 Sant Cugat restaurant in Barcelona. Third, the atmosphere is authentically Spanish: lively, celebratory, built around sharing — a social tradition, not a sports-bar discount window.
